1. What are your expectations for this class?

I expect to make an awesome game of which I could add to my portfolio and impress future employers. I also expect to have a very enjoyable year in this class as I have every year as I really enjoy the subject and enjoy being with my peers in this class. Over the course of the year, I hope to vastly improve on software engineering and scripting.

2.  List ideas for technology projects you would like to work on this semester.

This year, I would like to make a multiplayer game that uses an internet connection, an expansive mod to minecraft, and a huge 3D video game. For the 3D video game, I hope to make it a free roaming game and if possible, finish it with dialogue and various enemies and tools/weapons and everything, the whole sha bang. It will probably end up being similiar to many of the platforming free roaming games on the N64 and as for software. We could use flash’s 3D or blender and Cinema 4D. I hope to be able to give the player as much freedom as possible and the a moderately high level of difficulty. As for the expansive mod on minecraft, I plan to change the infinite plain on minecraft to that of different spherical planets that each have their own varying gravity and sky. I plan to have it so that as you leave one planets atmosphere, the other planets come into view as the sky dissipates and the ability to create your own planets.

3.  Do you plan to work alone or with a partner?  Who is your partner?

I plan to work with Emaan on most or all of the projects. And if I can, others like Talan and Forest on bigger huge projects.

The Outlook

This year, we plan on starting and hopefully finish a 3D platform based free roaming game. However, since we are in Mr.Esparza for 4th period, this would be hard to do. So the first step would have to be to return to Mr.Fornstrom’s 3rd period pathways.
